Around 1am on Tuesday April 22, 2008 a car was set on fire on Staff Street in Upper Manhattan (near Dyckman). The resulting blaze let to several explosions and the eventual arrival of the fire department.
Early speculation is that a stolen car was ditched and blown up, completely destroying the two adjacent cars and leading to significant damage for several other vehicles.
