Now, to answer some FAQs...
- The food in this film was consumed either by myself or my dog after shooting. None of the cast went to waste.
- The software used was photoshop and after effects.
- The film took me 3 months to do.
- Although it seems like stop motion, most of it was stop motion created within After effects, using keyframe animation. I am basically moving the food around within the the program, frame by frame, which is the same as traditional stop motion, only it's digital.

Chickens have a great ability to keep their heads stable. Our bodies use a gyro-like mechanism in our ears which has 3 mutually orthogonal inertial measurement devices. Modern motion processors use something called an Inertial Measurment Unit (IMU). These devices provide movement data which can be used to compensate for the movement. Chickens apparently have the same type mechanism only with a higher update rate.

*Update* The chickens were eaten by the family dog. WHOOPS! :(

What books are you reading?

thanks Youtube for the category feature!
This is the third video I've done where I ask what everyone is reading and I find it interesting what people say. I think it gives some clues as to what kind of a person they are.
I'm reading:
Twilight. (I like it. They push the mushie stuff a lot, but it's not too excruciating. girls would probably like it more than guys).
Brisingr (I'm a big fan of the first 2. Good fantasy books)
Catcher in the Rye (thought it was so-so the first time I read it. probably will like it more this time around).

My movie rating of Quantum of Solace:
3.5 out of 5 stars (s'okay. nothing very memorable about it. I noticed they don't have the crazy gadgets anymore or the inventor, Q. More realistic, though. Kind of trying to be like the 'Bourne' movies.

Santa Claus (1898)

Made in 1898, G.A. Smith's 'Santa Claus' is a film of considerable technical ambition and accomplishment for its period. It uses pioneering visual effects in its depiction of a visit from St. Nicholas.

A former magic lanternist and hypnotist, Smith was one of the first British film-makers to make extensive use of special effects to create fantastical scenes. It comes as little surprise that Smith corresponded with the French pioneer Georges Méliès at about this time, as the two men shared a common goal in terms of creating an authentic cinema of illusion. Little Change... Big Difference

Four to five trillion plastic bags are used annually around the world. After we use these bags, where do you think they go?

Although, the average plastic bag weighs less than 2 grams, the impact of these bags co-existing in our environment can be huge.

San Francisco banned plastic bags from large grocery stores, London and Paris then followed suit. Now cities (and countries) from all over the world are considering similar legislation.

But we don't have to wait for that, next time you go to the store, try using a reusable bag, it might make you feel good.
